El Porvenir Project
The main historical center of high-grade gold production is located just 2+ km northwest of El Porvenir where approximately 4.6 million ounces of gold have been produced over several decades of mining operations.
Sampling from historical workings on the El Porvenir project have returned assays of up 3.41 oz/t gold, while shallow historical drilling returned assays of up to 7.87 oz/ton gold and up to 35.3 oz/ton silver.
Angel Gold is exploring to discover and subsequently delineate other significant high-grade gold deposits at El Porvenir in a proven gold production district. Although a very significant amount of gold has been commercially produced from the Segovia-Remedios region, the area has been under-explored and under developed due to a historical lack of infrastructure and security. Since 2002, the area has become more secure and infrastructure, such as roads and power, has been developed to advance the economic development of nearby population centers.
El Porvenir is at an early exploration stage and Angel Gold is working diligently to understand the styles and controls of mineralization and ultimately to advance the economic potential of the property. Work completed to date includes stream sediment geochemical sampling, soil sampling (variably as soil lines and along ridge tops) to quickly define areas for further exploration, and outcrop rock chip sampling. Inspection of both active and inactive mines was made, as well as monitoring of the Abejero artisanal mine which has produced gold at bonanza grades.
